Adoption of JCM Studies 2013 - for GHG Mitigation Projects/Activities

Global Environment Centre Foundation (GEC) has adopted 27 studies for GHG mitigation projects/activities for 2013, under the Study Programmes for Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) projects and CDM project, which are commissioned by the Ministry of the Environment, Japan (MOEJ).
There are three types of study programmes for JCM projects.
(1) JCM Project Planning Study (JCM PS):
The study for development of a Model Project in the near future
(2) JCM Methodology Demonstration Study (JCM DS):
The study to check the practicality of the draft methodology by applying existing projects under operation
(3) JCM Feasibility Study (JCM FS):
The study to promote potential JCM projects and to survey its feasibility
GEC solicited study proposals for (1) JCM PS, (2) JCM DS, (3) JCM FS, and (4) CDM Feasibility Study (CDM FS), during 23rd May and 12th June 2013, from Japanese entities (private companies, and NGO/NPOs), and 63 proposals. Through the strict review process, 27 Studies (6 for JCM PS, 4 for JCM DS, 16 for JCM FS, and 1 for CDM FS) were selected and officially adopted, as follows.
